Purple Skies in October

After a rain, the sunset in Galveston, TX was naturally purple and amazing.
Purple sunset in Galveston, TX

We started October in Galveston to capture a wedding. The bride-to-be is an amazing Prince fan, as am I, so this special event was clearly blessed by the Purple One himself. As I stood on the hotel balcony, I couldn’t help but be in awe of the purple skies before me. These natural purple skies welcomed more love into the world.

Last month we focused on love: love shared between two people and love of self. This month isn’t anything different from the previous month. Love surrounds us daily. Be it from family or friends, we are drenched in circles of love. We will continue to share the amazing stories of our clients and turn our focus to the love of family and community, which typically becomes an extended family.

Family and community are beyond necessary for the human experience. I can’t even begin to think where I would be if my family didn’t support me. I know I wouldn’t be as successful as I’ve been if I didn’t belong to such encouraging communities for black women entrepreneurs and small business owners. This human experience is far more fulfilling when it includes other head-turning humans.

Of course, I can’t believe it’s October already. We’re only two months away from another year ending and another one beginning. I’m looking forward to ending this year on a high note. What are you all looking forward to?
