I'm on a roll this month! When the tide is moving your way, I say get in the groove and go with the flow. As we said before, this is a year-long project (two parts: film and digital). The digital part allows me to "quickly" give a gift to those who participate and share their story. The film part is being developed as we type, so let's start the story.
Let’s do the basics first: who are you (it’s good to have a name you know)? What do you stand for?
My name is Anika Garcia, I am 19 years old and a college student. I do my best to stand up for what I believe in, in whatever way possible. I like to believe I stand for others. I try my best to do everything I can to ensure everyone is treated equally and fairly.
What are a few of your favorite things or hobbies? How do you relax and relate?
I love to journal and meditate. It is one of the best ways to relieve stress and allows me to clear my mind. I also really enjoy music. It is another great outlet for me.
People often ask others about their job, but we recognize we are more than “what we do”. What story are you telling with your life? We wanna know what gets you out of the bed each morning.
I think I’m still working on the story I want to tell the world. I hope that whatever story I end up telling is one that inspires others to speak up and do what they can to make a positive impact in their world.
This film project is my personal, creative project. Are you working on anything right now or aspire to create something in the future?
Right now I am trying to focus on my future and am trying to figure out what exactly that looks like. So, no current projects for me right now, however who knows what lies down the road.
At G Photography we believe in being social. How can readers follow your projects and/or your journey?
The best way readers can follow my journey is on Instagram @anika.elyssa.
I believe we all have an energy and the energy from Anika would light more than a million homes. This is one young person we should keep our eyes on.
Now, we're still accepting participants. I have plenty of film and SD cards...I just need a few more faces. If you're interested in participating in this project, click the link: Every Kind Of People.
