National Small Business Week may be over, but the celebration of small businesses continues all month long. May is National Small Business Month, and I want to continue recognizing the impact small business have on the American economy. According to the Small Business Administration a small business is defined as “business with a maximum of 250 employees or a maximum of 1,500 employees (depending on the industry).” I’m currently a party of one, and I’m sure many of you are in the same boat.
They say, “a picture is worth a thousand words” and it’s true. Your first and last impression is the image you’re using to represent your brand. And is this image the best image to represent your brand? In celebration of National Small Business Month, I want to help other small businesses tell the best visual story possible. You can be a baker, a blogger, a designer, dancer…whatever your heart desires. I believe we must help each other to reach the highest levels of success.
I’m gifting six headshots/branding sessions this May (three in the DFW area and three in the Houston area; over $300 value). Obviously, you must be a small business to enter the Small Biz Movers & Shakers contest. You can be a new small business owner or well established (no judging here). Although the winners will be selected randomly, I want to hear your story: what your business is about and why you need fresh photos.
